As the name implies, this is a cement-based product applied among other things to spray foam polyurethane insulation to make it fire resistant. It creates a thermal barrier that prevents certain components from igniting in the event of a fire.

Cement-Based Product

Intumescent Paint
An intumescent paint, or ‘coating’, is a fire-retardant paint that expands and carbonizes as a result of intense heat exposure, forming an insulating layer of char that protects the structural members to which it has been applied. This coating is used, among other things, to preserve the integrity of steel structures and delay their collapse in the event of fire.
